Prior to completing her PhD in Political Science from Boston University, she worked for a start-up company in education and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Song’s research interests lie at the intersection of race and political economy in both American and Comparative Politics.

As a teacher, Song believes that the most effective learning happens when students take ownership of their educational journey and actively pursue knowledge with curiosity and enthusiasm, so Song is motivated in cultivating an environment and providing tools for students to be encouraged to become independent, motivated learners.
