Leslie Ribovich (she/her) is an educator and scholar of religion, race, and education in American public life. At Trinity, Ribovich is the Director of the Greenberg Center for the Study of Religion in Public Life.

Her research focuses on the history of religion in the United States and its intersections with race, education, and moral formation. She is the author of Without a Prayer: Religion and Race in New York City Public Schools (NYU Press, 2024), as well as articles in American Religion, The New Republic, Religion & Politics, and elsewhere.

Ribovich aims to cultivate a shared space for critical examination, understanding, and transformation in her teaching. At Trinity, Ribovich teaches courses cross-listed between Religious Studies and Public Policy & Law on religion, politics, and policy; religion and prisons; and religion, race, and education. She has previously taught classes ranging from African American Religions to the Bible to First-Year Composition at Transylvania University, the Princeton Writing Program, Fordham University, and New Jersey state prisons.

Ribovich was selected as one of the Young Scholars in American Religion (2020-2023) and founded a project on the history of race and people of color and Transylvania University.
