Jeff Bemiss is an Oscar-shortlisted, Peabody-winning writer/director who has worked in shorts, features and documentaries. His work has aired on PBS and network television. His latest film, MISSING IN BROOKS COUNTY, a feature documentary about the missing migrant crisis in South Texas, premiered on PBS's Independent Lens. The film was nominated for a Critic's Choice Award, was a finalist for a Du-Pont Columbia Journalism award and won a 2023 Peabody award. His film THE BOOK AND THE ROSE was a semi-finalist for the Academy Award for best live action short film. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Southern California film school and the L.A.
