Ph.D., North Carolina State Univ.
B.A., The College of Wooster

Kelly Patton studied physics at the College of Wooster before continuing on to a PhD at North Carolina State University.  Her interest in both astronomy and fundamental particles led her to specialize in neutrino astrophysics, specifically the ways in which neutrinos can teach us about other complex systems.

Kelly held postdoctoral research positions at both Arizona State University and the Institute for Nuclear Theory.  During those years, her research expanded and shifted focus to neutrino production during the final stages of the lives of large stars.

Before arriving at Trinity, Kelly was at Colby College as a Faculty Fellow teaching quantum and classical mechanics.  She enjoys helping students develop strategies to approach any complex problem, whether in physics or any other field.
