With a Ph.D. from the University of Oxford, Dr. Virginie King has an extensive background in chemistry education and research. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in interactive and student-centered approaches, encouraging collaboration and open-mindedness. Dr. King’s classes are known for their emphasis on problem-solving and critical thinking, preparing students for diverse professional paths. Her dedication to critical thinking is evident through her integration of real-world problems into the curriculum and her emphasis on inquiry-driven undergraduate research.
When not in the classroom or lab, Dr. King can be found at home, experimenting with her 3D printers. You'll find her surrounded by her latest projects, from cool gadgets to art pieces. Dr. King lives in Wallingford, CT, with her spouse, two Labradors, and their landlord, a domestic shorthair cat named Takeo.
