Dr. Rupal Mangukiya is an environmental scientist and educator with over eight years of experience in college and university-level teaching and research. She previously served as Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Environmental Studies at Cottey College, where she taught a range of courses, including Sustainability and Geographic Information Systems. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes fostering critical thinking, community engagement, and problem-solving through inclusive, student-centered learning environments.
Dr. Mangukiya’s research spans diverse environmental topics, including the assessment of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), greenhouse gas inventories, climate change impacts, and the interplay between economic and non-economic pillars of sustainability. She also has extensive experience analyzing environmental parameters such as soil, water, and air quality. Her recent publication, Analyzing Three Pillars of Sustainable Development Goals at Sub-National Scales within the USA, exemplifies her commitment to applying GIS and quantitative methods to address critical sustainability issues.
