Miranda Sklaroff is Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science. Her research develops a political theory of eugenics from the beginning of the nineteenth century through today. In her book project Eugenics: Left, Right, and Center, she draws on feminist political theory, American Political Development, and original archival research to examine the persistence of eugenic logic across the political spectrum.
Sklaroff’s courses focus on American political institutions, eugenics, and political theory, particularly feminist and democratic theory. Her teaching centers students not only developing their own readings and understandings of key concepts and texts, but fine-tuning and realizing their own sense of politics.
