M.J. Vickers is a Visiting Assistant Professor hailing all the way from Texas A&M University, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and PhD in Sociology and has been teaching Aggies for three years. While working for the university, she developed a teaching approach which seeks to nurture curious, yet critical, minds through the incorporation of modern research and real sociological data in course material. Dr. Vickers also believes in maintaining understanding and flexibility for students, especially those who are currently adjusting to a college environment. She is willing to work with students who require accommodation or otherwise need guidance on course material or assignments to ensure everyone has a chance to succeed. Dr. Vickers believes Sociology is one of the most important and applicable disciplines students can learn and is eager to further develop her curriculum with students at Trinity College.
