Between 2016 and 2018, she worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, CA. She adopts a theory-driven empirical approach and uses applied econometrics to shed light on macroeconomic issues, specifically in developing economies.
She has taught core courses such as Introduction to Economics and Macroeconomics, and at Trinity, Betül teaches International Finance, Intro Global Trade and Finance, and Time Series Analysis. Her educational principles are centered on long-term learning, skill development, and ‘putting theory into practice’ via in-class activities.
