Thanos Moraitis is a PhD candidate in Economics at UMass Amherst, where he researches business cycles, financial crises, and technical change. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master's in Development Economics from SOAS, University of London, both completed with honors. Thanos has extensive experience as a Teaching Assistant, having held positions at three prestigious universities: SOAS University of London, Goldsmiths University of London, and UMass Amherst. Additionally, he has contributed to various projects as a Research Assistant and has co-authored papers in highly regarded peer-reviewed journals. His work has also been featured in a recently published book on current developments in the global capitalist system.
