Osman Keshawarz began his studies in Economics and Philosophy at the University of Connecticut. His work there focused on non-classical logics and the epistemology of formal economic models. After that, he served as a journalist and editor for the FATA Research Center in Pakistan, documenting the effects of the War on Terror on local communities in the frontier regions in Pakistan.
His graduate research investigates the role of landed property in the development of capitalist urban economies, as well as the distributive effects of housing and land use policy. His teaching philosophy incorporates multi-disciplinary, multi-media approaches, with a strong focus on both quantitative and philosophical inquiry.
