Alex MacConochie received his B.A in English from the University of Richmond, and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Boston University. A specialist in literature of the English Renaissance, especially drama, he is currently at work on a book titled Staging Touch in Renaissance England. MacConochie’s articles on touch and related topics appear or are forthcoming in journals such as Renaissance Drama, Medieval and Renaissance Drama in English, and Shakespeare Studies. As well as courses on Shakespeare and pre-modern British literature, he teaches courses on drama from medieval times to the present, drama and film, and theories of performance.
