9.06 Ergonomics

Purpose:

It is the policy of the College to raise awareness and help reduce musculoskeletal disorders associated with repetitive tasks and improper body posture or workstation positioning. Contact information is provided below.

Procedure:

All reasonable measures will be taken to ensure that the work environment is ergonomically sound. Each employee should take responsibility for assessing the fitness of his or her work area. If an employee suspects their workstation or the tasks performed to do their job are causing or contributing to a musculoskeletal disorder, he or she should contact their supervisor, Human Resources, or the Safety Committee at safety@trincoll.edu to request an analysis of their workstation or for additional information.
