9.08 Recycling

Effective Date: April 1, 2010 (revised)

Purpose:

The College actively supports initiatives that will reduce the amount of trash that is sent to landfills, and promote an understanding of how this waste material has the ability to make new products.

Procedure:

Paper, cardboard, bottles and cans can be recycled in all dormitories and academic/administrative buildings. Compact fluorescent light bulbs can be recycled in Mather Hall (first floor near the elevator), the lobby of Jacobs Life Science Center, and are collected by Facilities. Ink toner cartridges, alkaline batteries, computers, cell phones, and other electronics can be recycled in the Office of Community Service and Civic Engagement (located in the basement of Mather Hall).
