8.11 Personal Auto and Homeowner’s Insurance

Purpose:

The College wishes to provide employees with cost-saving alternatives to basic personal insurance options, through contracting with providers for group rates. This policy describes those benefits and how to take advantage of them.

Procedure:

Eligibility/Enrollment

Any employee may elect automobile, homeowner’s, and/or personal property insurance by enrolling in a group plan that is available with Travelers Insurance Company and administered by a local agency. Contact information is available from the Human Resources department, and on the Human Resources webpage.

You can request specific rate information on auto, homeowner’s, and/or personal property insurance by completing a quote request form at www.hrhsolutions.com.

Costs

Premiums for coverage are fully paid by the employee through regular payroll deductions or through EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer).

The program is portable. Employees do not lose the benefit of a group rate if no longer employed at the College
