The College provides a specified level of Long-Term Disability insurance (LTD) to full-time, benefit-eligible employees, at no cost to the employee. This policy describes that benefit.
Enrollment is available to all continuing full-time (either full-year or academic year) administrative employees and full-time faculty as defined in the Faculty Manual.
Eligibility begins on the first of the month following or coinciding with employment. Qualified employees receive 60% of base monthly pay to a maximum of $15,000 per month, after six months of disability. Details on the plan are available from the Human Resources Department.
The premium for LTD is fully paid by the College. Benefits paid under this policy are subject to regular taxes.
Termination of Coverage
Coverage ends upon termination of employment or a change from full-time to part-time employment status. Employees on Military Service Leave, who have already qualified for LTD, continue coverage while on approved leave.
