On occasion, the President of the College exercises the prerogative to grant additional time or days off. At such times, benefit-eligible administrative employees regularly scheduled to work on these days receive full pay without charging the time off to any leave plan.
Hours worked during President’s Discretionary Days are paid at the regular hourly rate or salary. Employees who are required to work on those days, because they provide essential services or because they are engaged in time-sensitive projects, may elect another day off to be arranged with and approved by the supervisor.
Unused President’s Discretionary Days do not qualify for pay-out upon termination from service, and may not be carried over from one calendar year to another unless the announcement so specifies.
