Christopher Houlihan is a concert organist who has established an international reputation as an “intelligently virtuoso musician” (Gramophone). He has performed at major venues across the country, including the Kennedy Center (Washington D.C.), the Kimmel Center (Philadelphia), and Disney Hall (Los Angeles). He has performed as soloist with the Hartford Symphony (2019 at Trinity College and 2008 at The Bushnell), Columbus (GA) Symphony, and the Boston Chamber Orchestra. He has performed at numerous conventions of the American Guild of Organists and the Organ Historical Society. Houlihan’s “Vierne2012” tour attracted international attention and critical acclaim for performances Louis Vierne’s six organ symphonies in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas, and Montreal. The Los Angeles Times called his performance “a major surprise of the summer, a true revelation.”

In 2017, Houlihan was appointed the John Rose College Organist-and-Directorship Distinguished Chair of Chapel Music at Trinity College, and also serves as artist-in-residence. At Trinity, he teaches organ lessons, a course on organ literature and history, presents the Trinity Organ Series, and directs The Chapel Singers—Trinity’s resident Chapel choir and oldest student organization.
