Effective Date: April 1, 2010 (revised)
To safeguard Trinity College’s employees, students and all visitors to campus, weapons such as but not limited to firearms, knives, explosives, handguns, or fireworks of any kind are not permitted.
All employees are required to adhere to the prohibition against weapons, which includes the possession of any weapon, whether or not a permit might have been issued under the law for ownership, possession, or use. The College reserves the right to conduct searches when there is reason to believe that any person in possession of such weapons may be capable of causing injury.
Any violation of this policy will subject an employee to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Violations by non-employees will result in their immediate removal from campus, and could include filing of charges with law enforcement officials.
