Course Description:
How did we manage to go from burning wood to producing light at night thousands of years ago, to getting just the right amount of LED light at the flick of a switch? Step by step, we (homo sapiens) have mastered our surroundings, discovered ways to increase food production and treat disease, built modern cities, and much more. In this course, we will explore the history of humankind by exploring technological progress, and how that progress, both, enhances our lives and creates new challenges for us to meet. |
