Course Description:
Introductory course to environmental engineering geared towards non-engineering majors. The course applies physical, chemical and biological concepts to engineered environmental systems. Topics include water quality assessment and supply issues, drinking and waste water treatment, solid waste treatment and management strategies, and resource recovery and recycling. Students will review existing laws and regulations in the context of the topics covered. |
