Course Description:
This course introduces students to using artificial intelligence as a creative and analytical collaborator in the development of innovative solutions. The course builds foundational skills for co-creating with AI through innovation thinking, with an emphasis on divergent and convergent thinking, problem analysis, and solution development. Students engage in the full innovation process, including use-case and requirements analysis, problem reframing, ideation, modular design, prototyping, testing, feedback, and iterative improvement. In addition, the course examines the ethical dimensions of co-creating and co-innovating with generative AI. Topics include intellectual ownership, bias in AI-generated outputs, transparency, and the broader societal impacts of relying on AI for creative and technical work. |
