Dominick Cooper received a B.A. in philosophy and political science from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in 2015. He received his M.A. in philosophy from Virginia Tech in 2017 and his PhD from Georgetown in 2025. His research interests include moral and political philosophy, and focus broadly on the relationship between labor and human flourishing. His current book project develops Marx’s theory of alienation and applies it to debates in contemporary moral and political philosophy.
Dominick’s teaching interests include topics in ethical theory, applied ethics, social and political philosophy, and the history of moral and political philosophy (esp. Karl Marx). As a teacher, he aims to cultivate engaged and sustained practices of reading, writing, and dialogue that are necessary for students to develop their distinctive philosophical voice. |
