M.S., Univ. of Illinois Chicago
B.A., Swarthmore College
Jonathan is new at Trinity as of Fall 2022. He completed his PhD in 2016 at the University of Illinois Chicago, with a focus on knot theory, a subfield topology. He enjoys folding origami and playing the card game SET. Most recently, he taught calculus at Colby College. He recognizes that learning mathematics demands a synthesis of symbolic reasoning and visual imagination, practical application and abstract theory, creative exploration and rote practice.
