Chitra Jogani joins Trinity College as an Assistant Professor in Economics and International Studies. Chitra received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and began her academic career as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Economics at Hamilton College. Her teaching philosophy aligns with that of a liberal arts education, and her experience of working at Hamilton has reconfirmed her desire to teach in a liberal arts environment. She has previously taught Principles of Microeconomics, Development Economics, Data Analytics and Machine Learning, and Economic Statistics. Her primary fields of research include Development Economics and Political economy. In addition, she has a professional experience of working as a Business Analyst and as a Data Scientist. Chitra is excited to be joining Trinity and is looking forward to working with the students at Trinity College.
