Lena Springer is Assistant Professor and the Head Softball Coach in the Department of Athletics and Physical Education. She has served as an assistant coach at multiple institutions across the country since 2019. Coach Springer has a clear vision in the growth and development of the Trinity College Softball Program and is excited about the future at Trinity.
Coach Springer graduated from The Ohio State University and went on to receive her M.S in Sport Administration from Delaware State University. Coach Springers parents, George and Laura were both respectable athletes at the University of Connecticut. Her brother George also competed in baseball for the Huskies and went on the be the 11th pick overall in the 2011 MLB Draft to the Houston Astros. He currently plays for the Toronto Blue Jays. Coach Springer’s sister, Nicole played softball at Central Connecticut State University. Coach Springer comes from a diverse background of physical fitness and athletics.
