Youlanda Babapoor earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in Physics, as well as a Master of Arts in Mathematics, from Central Connecticut State University.
She has taught a variety of college-level courses, ranging from Pre-Algebra and Elementary Algebra to Applied Business Mathematics and Calculus for Business and Science. She has served as an adjunct instructor at both CCSU and Tunxis Community College. She also joined the Russian School of Mathematics, where she participated in the design of the school’s curriculum and taught various levels of mathematics. Mathematics has always been Ms. Babapoor’s favorite subject, and she finds teaching college students very fulfilling. She enjoys explaining mathematics to students and seeing their confidence in the topic grow. She constantly challenges students to be creative in their problem-solving strategies, and she challenges herself to provide an active and engaging learning environment.
