Trained in developmental and counseling psychology, my work is at the intersection of optimal development, learning, and mental health. I teach, counsel, mentor, and coach teens and young adults, and provide consultation and training to parents, educators, physicians and athletic coaches. As a school mental health consultant, I've provided trauma-informed interventions in classrooms and with athletic programs. As a professor, I teach a mix of developmental, clinical, and health psychology courses covering typical and atypical development, the impact of early experience on nervous system development, relationships, and mental health, and practices to support well-being and peak performance.
I've been an athletic coach at the rec, high school, and college level and love being a coach at Trin.
