Dr. Lee graduated from Trinity College in 1966. He earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 1970 from the University of Massachusetts.  He returned to Trinity in 1969 and currently serves as Director of the Counseling and Wellness Center and Associate Professor of Psychology. He is also an assistant coach and sport psychologist for the women's squash team. He founded the Journal of Nonverbal Behavior, currently in Volume 38, and served as its editor from 1976-1986. He has served as President of the Connecticut Psychological Association (1977-78), a member of the national Council of Representatives of the American Psychological Association (1982-1985), and Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Connecticut Psychological Association from 1990-2014.

Dr. Lee teaches courses in the areas of psychotherapy theory, mind/body health, and clinical psychology, and conducts workshops and seminars in mindfulness and meditation. He has published in the areas of meditation and eating disorders.
