Gloria Feng is a Visiting Lecturer in Statistics for the Life Sciences at Trinity College and a Ph.D. candidate in Cognitive Neuroscience at Yale University, where she works with Professor Robb Rutledge. Her research uses computational modeling and behavioral experimentation to investigate how dopamine shapes decision-making under uncertainty, with a particular focus on risk-taking and choice perseveration. Her work has appeared in Nature Communications and PNAS, among other venues. As a teacher, Gloria is committed to making statistics approachable and meaningful by emphasizing application and learning by doing. She believes that statistics is fundamentally a tool for interrogating real-world problems, and she designs her courses to help students develop that practical intuition alongside technical skill.
