For most of his teaching at UConn as a graduate assistant, Jun taught Principles of Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. He has also assisted in the teaching of intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Money and Banking, Public Policy, and Game Theory. As a visiting instructor, he taught Law and Economics, and Econometrics for Wesleyan University. Although the classes were delivered in an online teaching mode, his students commented that his classes were outstandingly edificatory and inspiring. In class, Jun aims to bridge economics theory with real-world applications with the goal of conveying the mode of thinking like an economist. He tailors the class content to cater to students’ needs of doing research (term paper and thesis). He employs various methods to showcase to students the ability of economics to explain the world. He specializes in industrial organization, law and economics, game theory, and environmental economics. He has dabbled in subjects such as international economics, labor economics, sports economics. He conducts both applied theory and empirical research. His wide interests have benefited his teaching and advising as well.
