Matthew McCurdy received his B.S. in Mathematics from Centre College in 2015. He then went on to Florida State University to study applied and computational mathematics, with an emphasis on fluid dynamics. In 2020, Matthew earned his Ph.D. from FSU. His current research interests deal with how groundwater and surface-water interact, and how heat can impact these interactions.
Matthew thoroughly enjoys teaching mathematics. From working with high school students in Rio de Janeiro to second-grade students in rural Kentucky, Matthew has taught in a variety of classrooms. His favorite courses to teach are applied math and introductory Calculus classes. Matthew is excited to work with the students at Trinity, both in and out of the classroom.
