Dr. Morrison has been a member of the Chemistry Department faculty since 1997. She has a passion for teaching, mentoring, and guiding the research of undergraduate students and watching them develop as scientists. Her research interests lie in the areas of forensic analytical chemistry, with projects focused on the development of analytical methods for the analysis of drugs in "alternative" biological specimens, including saliva and hair. In addition to her teaching and research, Prof. Morrison served as a mentor to the Chicago Posse Foundation Scholars (Class of 2018), is a member of the IDP Council, and serves on the Trinity Faculty Jury Panel and the Faculty Advisory Group on Student Accessibility Services. Prior to coming to Trinity, Prof. Morrison was a research chemist and National Research Council post-doctoral research associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. She holds a B.S. in chemistry from Hartwick College, an M.S. in forensic chemistry from Northeastern University, and a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from The American University.
