M.S., Northeastern Univ.
B.S., Hartwick College
Dr. Morrison has been a member of the Chemistry Department faculty since 1997. She has a passion for teaching, mentoring, and guiding the research of undergraduate students and watching them develop as scientists. Her research involves the development and optimization of analytical methods for the detection and quantification of trace analytes in biological specimens, including biomarkers of Parkinson's Disease in human sebum samples, drugs in "alternative" biological specimens such as saliva and hair, and ethanol biomarkers in saliva. In addition to her teaching and research, Prof. Morrison serves as the chair of the Faculty Jury Panel, is the Faculty Liaison to the Trinity Women's Golf Team, and previously served as a mentor to the Chicago Posse Foundation Scholars (Class of 2018). Prior to coming to Trinity, Prof. Morrison was a research chemist and National Research Council post-doctoral research associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. She holds a B.S. in chemistry from Hartwick College, an M.S. in forensic chemistry from Northeastern University, and a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from The American University.
